What does a Finance Managers do?

Finance managers prepare reports for management, summarising the business' financial position in the areas of income, expenses, capital usage and cash flows. The job duties of a financial manager include provide financial information and interpreting the implications for business performance and funding needs; coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of accounting systems; or advising on investment strategies, sources of funds and the distribution of earnings.

Finance Managers may work in a range of industrial and commercial companies, including banks, building societies, insurance companies; IT companies; manufacturing and service industries or the media industry.

How to become a Finance Managers?

To become a finance manager, you are required to hold a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration. Also, relevant experience of at least 5 years is required in order to work in this field.
