What does a Lawyer do?

Lawyers provide advice, write documents and conduct negotiations on legal matters, and may represent clients in court and tribunal proceedings. The job duties of a lawyer include interview clients to determine the nature of problems, and recommend and undertake appropriate legal action; prepare and critically review contracts between parties; or provide advice on family law, company law, partnerships, commercial law and trusts.

They may work in a range of fields such as business, employment and labour, finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, family, estate planning, tax, criminal defence etc.

How to become a Lawyer?

To become a lawyer, you would require a bachelor and postgraduate degree, followed by examinations and licensing processes.
